Obituary of Terry Dean Simmons

Terry Dean Simmons, age 57, of Gun Barrel City passed away on Saturday, February 3, in Dallas. He was born on August 1, 1960 in Dallas to Coy Simmons and Melvina Griffith Simmons. Terry worked as a laborer and was in the Army Reserves. He loved the outdoors and spending time in the mountains. He was Baptist by faith.

Terry is survived by his parents, Coy and Melvina Simmons of Gun Barrel City; his daughter, Kyla Simmons of Dallas; grandchildren, Kathryn Simmons and Jude Simmons of Dallas; and his brothers, Coy Simmons, Jr. of Dallas, Michael Simmons and wife Shannon of Dallas, David Simmons of Lindale, Jonathan Simmons of Dallas, and Mark Simmons of Mesquite.

Graveside services will be held Friday, February 9, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Coy Simmons officiating.
