Obituary of Zachary Scott Ross
Zachary Scott Ross, age 28, of Mount Vernon, passed away on August 16, 2017 at his home. Zach was born in Dallas, Texas on March 23, 1989 to Brian Michael and Gail Lianne Puder Ross. Zach moved to Mount Vernon in the 3rd grade where he graduated from the Mount Vernon High School Class of 2006. After graduation, Zach attended Texas State University in San Marcos where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Zach was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon, where he enjoyed taking part in the youth program while in Mount Vernon. Zach worked with his parents as the operator of Old Stone Countertops in Sulphur Springs. Growing up, Zach loved his life at the lake. He enjoyed anything outdoors and on the water, especially wake boarding. He loved life and enjoyed every minute he was given on this earth. Those who knew Zach best will always remember his fun loving personality and the vibrant life he lived. His sweet smile and loving spirit will live on in the lives of those he leaves behind.
Zach is survived by his parents, Brian and Gail Ross, of Mount Vernon; by one brother, Andrew Brian Ross, of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and by a host of other relatives and very special friends.
Funeral services for Zach Ross will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon with Reverend Pete Adrian officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral, at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be TJ Boulware, Travis Boulware, James Clary, Clint Gee, Jared Inman, Jesse Landry, Brantley Price, and Andy Ross.
