Obituary of Kathyrn Turner Cannon

Kathryn Turner Cannon, 49, of Mount Vernon, TX passed away on January 21, 2018.  She was born on October 9, 1968 in Mount Vernon to the late Robert and Kathryn Turner.  Mrs. Cannon was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Hagansport, TX.  She worked as a special needs teacher at Mount Vernon ISD, was a volunteer Firefighter/EMT for North Franklin County, served as secretary for the Franklin County Firefighters Association and she also served with several other local organizations.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Randal Cannon; son, Justin Cannon of Mount Vernon; daughter, Kellee Cannon of Mount Vernon; mother-in-law, Peggy Cannon of Mount Vernon; aunt, Brenda Turner of Mount Vernon.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.  Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Friday and Pastor Gerald Hood officiating.  Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Veterans Memorial Fund at Weaver Cemetery.
