Obituary of Valton Ray Wright
Valton Ray Wright (Poon) passed away on January 21, 2018 in Tyler, TX. He was born on August 17, 1937 in Franklin County. He attended Willow Grove School System in Franklin County. Mr. Wright worked at the Newsom Meat Packing Company and later in life would go on to work for Carlton Mfg., a Carpenter, and then Mount Vernon School District.
He is preceded in death by his parents, O.C Wright and Pearl Wright (Dunlap); brothers, Cliffon Wright, Dalton Wright, Claxton Wright and Charles Wright; sister Fay Helen Wright, daughter Beverly Ann Dunlap.
He is survived by two sons, Beralton Wright-Fountain of Mount Vernon, TX, Calvin Taylor and wife Marcell of Pittsburg, TX; six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Durene Wright-Davis of Dallas, TX, Monty Wright of Dallas, TX, Vivice Wright of Greenville, TX and a host of nieces, nephews and family friends.
