Obituary of Timothy Wayne Sumrow

Timothy Wayne “Tilby” Sumrow, 56, of Scroggins, TX passed away on February 5, 2018.  He was born on November 23, 1941 in Dallas, TX to Spencer Jerry and Ann Sumrow.  Mr. Sumrow was the operator for “Tilbys” Bar and Grill, worked for the Lowe’s Distribution Center.  He loved playing darts and 42 dominoes.  He was very talkative.

He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents; brother, Michael Starky; granddaughter, Haylee Sumrow.

He is survived by his wife, Beth Sumrow; mother, Ann Starkey and husband Lester of Mount Vernon, TX; son, Jeremy Sumrow of Mount Vernon; daughters, Jessica Sumrow and Julie Gadlin both of Mount Vernon; nine grandchildren; brothers, Tom Sumrow of Greenville, TX and Alex Sumrow of California; sister, Pam Gooch of Kilgore, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, TX.  Funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 10 am at the funeral home with Chad Roden officiating.  Interment will follow service at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville, TX.
