Obituary of Genie Hood

Mrs. Genie Hood, 65, of Talco, TX passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Mount Vernon, TX.  She was born on September 25, 1952 in Springfield, IL to the late Darold and Wilma Peet.  She enjoyed fishing and doing yardwork.

Genie is preceded in death by her sister.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Hood; son, Tony Hood of Amarillo, TX; daughter Bonnie Krenz and husband Jeremy of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Hood of Arlington, TX, Ethan Krenz of Grand Prairie, Caitlin Hood of San Angelo, Kayse Hood of San Angelo; great-grandchildren, Tyler Lucas of Arlington, TX, Sariniti Mazzucco of Grand Prairie; brothers, William Peet of Plant City, Terry Peet of Springfield, IL, Richard Peet of Salina, KS, Kenneth Peet of Springfield, IL; sisters, Dorothy Lotz of Irving, TX, Florence Harris of Springfield, IL and Karen Peet of Springfield, IL.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 11 am – 12:30 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.  Graveside will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at Hagansport Cemetery.
