Obituary of Cleve O. Butler

Cleve O. Butler, 83, of Mount Vernon, Tx passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Mount Vernon.  He was born on September 18, 1934 in Slaton, TX to the late Louis Oliver Butler and Viola Geraldine Simmons Butler. Mr. Butler was a member of the Grace Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.  He was a member of the Lions club in Arkansas.  He enjoyed metal detecting, coin collecting and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wesley and Darrell Butler.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Anna V. Butler; son, Gary Oliver Butler and wife of Karen of Malvern, AR; daughters, Pamela Ann Willis and husband Danny of Mount Vernon, Lana Ruth Tolleson and husband Doug of Sonora, TX; seven grandchildren, Kelli Reynolds and husband Chase of Sentani, Indonesia, Lori Valencia and husband Juan of Mexico, Debora Randall and husband Joe of Little Rock, AR, Andrew Willis and wife Brittany of Burleson, TX, Sarah Campbell and husband Tim of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Ross Tolleson and wife Mallory of Anchorage, AK, Marshall Tolleson of Cameroon, Africa; 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 18, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.  Funeral service is scheduled Monday, February 19, 2018 at 9:00 am at Grace Baptist Church, Mount Vernon with Bro. Tommy Campell.

Graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at East Lawn Cemetery, Brownwood, TX at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers family has requested donations to be made to the Wycliffe Bible Translators Organization or the Grace Baptist Church
