Obituary of Clinton Meyer

Clinton Meyer of Mount Vernon, Texas passed away Saturday morning, July 7, 2018 at 78 years of age.  He was born in Simmons, Texas on April 3, 1940 to Herman and Edna (Stratman) Meyer.

Clinton honorably served in the United States Army. He was of the Lutheran faith and the former owner of the Saltillo Store.  Before purchasing the Saltillo Store he was the owner of the Franklin County Livestock.

He leaves his wife of 48 years, Wanda Bridges Meyer of Mount Vernon, Texas; their children, Tammy and Charlie Mills of New Berling, Texas, Rebecca and Steve Bucholtz of Wylie, Texas, Craig and Jennifer Meyer of Leander, Texas and Brad and Candy Meyer  of Mount Vernon, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Milton and Peggy Meyer of Orange Grove, Texas, Ernest and Virginia Meyer of Pleasanton, Texas and Darrell and Selma Meyer of Three Rivers, Texas; sisters, Faye Meyer , Ellen Meyer and Sylvia Thompson all of Three Rivers, Texas; sisters-in-law, Ernell Meyer, of Three Rivers, Texas, Barbara Meyer of Floresville, Texas and Alyne Fitzgerald of Three Rivers, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Alvin, Harvey and Ray Meyer.

A memorial service for Clinton will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Chapel at Sam Harvey Funeral Home.
