Obituary of Charles (Chuck) Etheridge

Charles (Chuck) Etheridge, 71, of Mount Vernon, TX passed away peacefully, early Monday morning, November 5, 2018. He was born on March 21, 1947 in Dallas, TX to the late John B. and Gladys Etheridge.

Chuck was dearly loved by his wife Liz, son Troy Etheridge and wife Jennifer of Allen, TX, grandchildren Bella and Brie, brothers Johnny Etheridge and wife Lucy of Odessa, TX and Doug Etheridge and wife Diane of Carrollton, TX and many loyal and caring friends.  

Chuck's love for dogs quickly gave him the title of Dog Whisperer in the neighborhood.  He needed only to roll his powerchair out of the garage before every dog was fighting for his lap.  Only second to dogs, he loved a strong cup of coffee and a good Sci-fi book in his hands.

We will miss our dear Chuck, Bur, Grandpa Charlie and Dad.  May he be at peace on the shores of The Lake at sunrise as he oversees the Heavenly Pet Park there.  A Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon, Saturday, November 10th at 11 am.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
