Obituary of Lee Willis Pennington

Lee Willis Pennington, 84, of Hagansport, TX passed away peacefully at his home on November 26, 2018. He was born on August 22, 1934 in Hopkins County, TX to the late Aaron and Lottie Pennington.  He honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War.  Mr. Pennington was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Hagansport.  He enjoyed spending time with grandkids and was considered a Master checkers player. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earnest Pennington, Douglas Pennington and William Pennington; sister, Lillian Barger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Pennington; son Billy Pennington and wife Lisa of Hagansport; daughter, Donna Gurley and husband Blake of Hagansport; grandchildren, Christie Gurley, Matthew Gurley, McKenna Gurley and Vernon Lee Pennington; brother, Lawrence Pennington of Daingerfield, TX; extended family, Chad Edwards, Kristy Edwards and Aaron Edwards; many nieces, nephews and much-loved in-laws.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 2 – 3 PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  Service will follow visitation at 3:00 PM with Bro. Randy Sinclair officiating.
