Obituary of Roy Olen Webber

Roy Olen Webber, age 62, of Mount Vernon, TX, passed away during the evening hours of Thursday, December 27, 2018, in Mount Pleasant. He was born to the late Jesse Lee Webber and Ruby Lee Ball Webber in Fort Towson, Oklahoma on February 7, 1956. Roy married the love of his life, Karla Sue Rogers, on November 18, 1977 in Denton, TX. They moved to Mount Vernon in 1981 where they made their home for the past 37 years.

Roy was a good hearted, loving husband and father. He enjoyed watching the sun come up in the mornings from his back porch. He was retired from the Franklin County, Pct. 2, road maintenance crew after 20 plus years of service.

Roy is survived by his loving wife Karla Webber; daughter, Julie Anne Knotts and husband Chad of Winnsboro, TX; brothers, Roger Webber of Pittsburg, TX and Johnny Webber and wife Joyce  of Lake Dallas, TX; brother-in-law, Vance Rogers of Mount Vernon, TX; and his nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathie Cody.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home followed by burial at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Colin Clasby, Michael Gentry, Keith Medders, Kevin Rogers, Kyle Rogers, Kent Rogers, and Arturo Muniz. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Elbert and Randy Edge.
