Obituary of Jimmy Stroud

Jimmy Stroud, 54, of Mt. Vernon passed away on January 16, 2019.  He was born on November 5, 1964 in Bonham, TX to J.L. and Dottie Stroud. Jimmy enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, playing his guitar, listening to music and watching Western TV shows. He was a kind hearted, giving person who loved his family very much.

He is preceded in death by his father, J.L. Stroud; grandson, Axel Stroud and stepson, Eric Clark.

He is survived by his loving wife, Johnnie Stroud; mother, Dottie Stroud of Mt. Vernon; sons, Dustin James Stroud of Marshall, TX, Steven Clark and wife Felicia of Port Bolivar, TX and Dennis Arceneaux of Colehill, TX; daughter, Brittany Stroud of Marshall, TX; grandchildren, William Clark, Lexus Stroud, Paisley Stroud, Chance Clark, Piper Clark, Destiny Clark, Rylan Stroud, and one on the way; brother Ricky Stroud and wife Brenda of Yantis, TX; sister Laura Jenkins and husband Roger of Rowlett, TX, and special dog, Buddy.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 19, 2019 from 6 – 8 PM at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, Mt. Vernon.  Graveside service is scheduled for Sunday, January 20 2019 at 2:00 PM at Stouts Creek Cemetery, Saltillo, TX.
