Diana Guzman

Obituary of Diana Q Guzman

Diana Guzman was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Through the ups and downs of her illness she never showed the family she was angry.  She never showed fear of what the next obstacle in her path would bring.  Diana had courage was always firm in her beliefs.  She never lost this strength even to the end.  “In all these things we are conquerors through him who loves us.” (Romans 8:37)

Diana’s life has changed not ended.  Life is but a stopping point, a resting place to sweet eternity.  When the journey finally ends, we will find an everlasting peace together with the Lord.

God gave each of us the right to take breath; a right to breath throughout our lifetime.  Our breathing is the outward and inward reality of our existence. Breathing is a necessity and God gave the breath of life.  He gave it to Adam… “And the Lord formed man of dust of the ground, and breath of life, God stamped his name upon the soul of every man.  Diana lived her life calling upon God’s name until God called her home on February 21, 2019.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Sam Harvey Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Freddy Celano Penaloza officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Sam Harvey Funeral home.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
