I have so many wonderful memories of my grandpa; feeding the fish, riding on the big red tractor, picking berries in the garden; him singing puff the magic dragon so loud we laugh, and taking the long way home on beautiful tree covered back roads. I love you grandpa and will remember you fondly.

What a most wonderful, loving father-in-law Bud is to me. He always showed kindness, compassion and love to our entire family! We had so much fun when he and Marilyn came to visit us when we lived in New York! A special memory. Love too that he taught my husband, Richard, to be an amazing father! Something special I always admired was his dedication to doing the laundry! If it needed to be folded, he did it. Washed, he did it. Dried, he did it. Not afraid of house chores! He is and always will be a true gentleman!! And he wanted his pasta and coffee HOT! Olive Garden knew his order to a tea!!

The families of Buddy and me were located in the Gray Rock Community southeast of Mount Vernon, during the 1940's and 50's, and while he was some years older than me, I watched him grown up and become a member of the US Air Force. May our gracious God comfort his wife and family in his loss.

I remember building the house in Mt Vernon. We kids were still young but he let us hammer nails. We bent so many nails he said the house wouldn’t be taken by a tornado because of the weight. He let us keep nailing. That’s parenting. Looking past the short comings of us. His type is needed more than ever today.
