Obituary of Caesar P. Castillero

Funeral services for Caesar P. Castillero age 62, of Talco, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2019, at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Filimon officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon City Cemetery with Austin Castillero, Adrian Orlando Romero, Carlos Miranda, Jeremy Daniels, Pedro Herrera and Jonathan Douglas serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, 2019, from 6-8 p.m. at Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home.

Mr. Castillero died Friday, May 31, 2019, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. He was born on August 18, 1956 in Oklahoma, the son of Floyan and Genoveva Pena Castillero. He met Irma Leticia Romero in 1996 and they married on May 10, 2004 in Weatherford, Texas and she survives.

Caesar was an overland truck driver for over thirty years having worked with Trinity Logistics of Dallas. Caesar and Irma were owner operators of Flaming Caesar's Home and Mexican Food where he had a passion for cooking carne asada and fajitas for his customers. Caesar was a diesel mechanic, welder and was a great storyteller. Caesar and Irma were members of the Iglesia Centro Christiano Church in Mt. Vernon for the past 13 years.

He is survived by his sons, Gabriel Castillero, Austin Javier Castillero of Dallas; daughters, Venus Miranda of Mt. Pleasant, Martha Campa of KS, Alicia Daniels of Winfield, Leticia Herrera of Winfield and Vanessa Ruiz of Mt. Vernon; 21 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Antonio Castillero, Guillermo Castillero, Jorge Castillero, Gabriel Castillero and sister, Araseli Castillero Pena all of Oaxaca, Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Floyan Castillero and sister, Alvida Castillero.
