Obituary of Wilma Pruitt

Wilma Pruitt, age 90, of Mount Vernon, Texas was called home to be with her Lord and Savior October 7, 2019.  She was born March 2, 1929, to the late Willie D. and Willie Alva Van Horn Capps.  She was married to the late J.R. Pruitt on October 6, 1947, in Mount Vernon, Texas.

Wilma Pruitt was a loving, kind, and humble lady with a servant’s heart.  She was a devout Christian that loved attending Meadow Park Baptist Church and reading her Bible.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kay Pruitt of Mount Vernon, Texas, Julia Ross of Arlington, Texas and Rebecca Pruitt of Mount Pleasant, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, special friends, Charles and Phyllis Robinett and Chase and Heather Robinett.

Visitation is scheduled for 1-2 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Meadow Park Baptist Church in Mount Vernon, Texas.

Funeral Service will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Cody Rushing and Marshall Bishop officiating.  Interment will be at Providence Cemetery.
