I’ll remember his sense of humor and the photo of a bulldog on his credenza at his office, referring to his nickname “Bulldog Drummond” because of his being such a bulldog in Court. The nickname made him smile.
My sincerest condolences to the Drummond family.

I am real sorry to hear of the passing of Keith. Growing up, even though I didn't see him many times in person, I would communicate with him through letters in the mail. My parents told me that my middle name came from Keith who was my grandmother's cousin. I always looked up to him and I am very appreciative he took the time to send me letters and various articles on the University of Tennessee. It didn't work out as planned, but my dream growing up was always to play football at Tennessee just like he did. I am sure he was a very busy man with his work, family and various organizations, but he always took the time to write someone he barely knew. He entertained a kids dream that he didn't have any obligation really to do. I also will cherish the few times that me and my dad were able to go hunting with him. I wish I would have known him better but based on my experience with him he was a great man.

The Paris Junior College family mourns the passing of another great Dragon. Keith Drummond shared his love for the education he received at PJC and he was a faithful friend. My heart goes out to this special family.

Keith being some years older than me was a hero of mine when he played football at Mt Vernon High in 1950-51. Then, from there I kept up with him during his tenure as a football player for Paris Junior College (PJC).
Keith told me one time that some of the local colleges had been watching him when he was playing at PJC, but that he had a really “bad game” when PJC played Navarro in Corsicana during his 2nd year, so the local colleges apparently lost interest and he ended up at the University of Tennessee playing on Bowden Wyatt’s nationally known “Tennessee single-wing offense".
Then, still later Keith was a great friend of mine when I went down to UT Austin and their engineering school, and he was attending law school there. I am forever grateful to he and his dear (1st) wife, Olaryrie for having me over for many backyard cookouts and giving me occasional weekend rides back to Mt Vernon for us all to see our families there.
One time when Keith was planning one such trip back to Mt Vernon he asked me if I wanted to go, and I told him that I would not be able to leave until 10:00 pm on a Friday night due to my part-time job, so Keith and Olaryie waited until that late time at night to leave so I could put in my shift.
May our gracious God comfort Keith's family in his loss.
