Obituary of Glenda Sue Stubblefield

Glenda Sue Stubblefield, age 74, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Christus Trinity Mother Francis of Sulphur Springs.

Glenda was born June 18, 1944, in Perryton, Tx. to John Kalvin and Dorothy Oleta Duross Ferguson.  Glenda loved Jesus, reading her bible, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and her dogs.  She enjoyed going to garage sales, Hobby Lobby and eating out.  She also enjoyed dancing, especially to the Twist.  Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and her 2 sisters, Tincy Ferguson and Linda Lou Ferguson.

“She was a witty, sassy, spunky one of a kind special lady, that we got to call our “Nana”.  She was my garage sale shopping, Thanksgiving potato salad making, criminal tv watching, dog loving, man hatin Nana.  Rest easy sweet angel, until we see you again.”  ~~Ashley Blunt~~

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 17, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at Sam Harvey Funeral Home.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00p.m. Monday, March 18, 2018, in the chapel of Sam Harvey Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Blankenship officiating.  Burial will follow in Macon Cemetery under the direction of Sam Harvey Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughters, Tammy Poor and husband, Dino of Saltillo and Lisa Smith and husband, Ricky of Mt. Vernon; her son, Troy Widemon and wife Debbie of Mt. Vernon; her 3 sisters, Janie Widemon of Mt. Vernon, Peggy Taylor of Longview and Edith Hejna of Hawley; her grandchildren, Ashley Blunt and husband Kevin, Jeni Brown and husband Kyle, Kenneth Poor and wife, Cara, Amanda Smith and husband, Phillip, Cody Cline and wife Erica, Donald Ray Widemon and wife Jessica, Jeremiah Widemon, Tish Moss and husband Jimmy and David Poor; her great grandchildren, Kelby Rogers, Mason Brown, Donnie Blunt, Makalyn and Kennedy Poor, Katelyne,Colt and Dusty Cline, Colt Cline, Kyle Locke, Ashton and Ryder Widemon, and 2 other on the way including Ryder James.
